CHEER ACADEMY

Welcome!

At Cheer Academy, I prioritize safety, technique, and personal growth for every athlete—from first-timers to advanced tumblers. By operating as an independent coach rather than a large commercial gym, I’ve eliminated high overhead costs to provide top-tier training at an accessible price. Lower tuition doesn’t mean less experience; it means a more intentional, one-on-one approach backed by professional certifications and a passion for the Leland community. Check out my credentials below—I can’t wait to see your athlete on the mat!

Meet Coach Julie Allen

Educator. Mentor. Coach.

The Experience

  • 30 Years of Coaching: Specializing in Middle and High School cheer and tumbling for ages 3–18.

  • 20 Years as a Health & PE Teacher: Extensive experience in public school physical education, focusing on movement and motor development.

  • Health Science Expertise: Two years as a Health Science teacher, providing me with a deep understanding of anatomy, injury prevention, and athlete wellness.

My Coaching Philosophy

I don't just teach skills; I teach the student-athlete. Because of my background in Health Science and Physical Education, I approach tumbling and stunting through a lens of longevity. I want my athletes to fly high and tumble hard, but I also want them to understand how their bodies work. Whether I’m working with a 3-year-old discovering their first forward roll or a varsity athlete perfecting their back handspring, my goal is to foster an environment where discipline meets encouragement.
